???? What does MS, RD, CD mean????
Beve earned a Master’s Degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Washington in Seattle and BS in Foods & Nutrition with completion of the dietetics program from Oregon State University in Corvallis.
Beve is both a Registered Dietitian (RD) – a national credential administered by the American Dietetic Association in Chicago, IL- and a Certified Dietitian (CD) – by the State of Washington. The RD credential is required to become a CD. The RD credential ensures that Beve completed her degrees from accredited universities, completed a 1000-hour accredited dietitian internship and passed a national registration board exam (similar to a registered nurse, RN). Beve must also complete 75 hours of Continuing Education credits every 5 years to maintain her RD credential.
Beve is also qualified to be a “Certified Nutritionist” (CN) in the State of Washington since she has a graduate degree in nutrition. |
